Read Full Book Here The universe has a beginning. Hawking explains how the universe was born from a singularity and has been expanding ever since. Time and space are interconnected. The curvature of space is related to the presence of mass and energy, and time and space cannot be separated. Black holes are formed when stars die. When stars exhaust their fuel, they collapse in on themselves, forming a black hole that is so dense that not even light can escape its gravitational pull. The uncertainty principle governs the behavior of subatomic particles. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle states that it is impossible to know both the position and velocity of a subatomic particle at the same time. The universe obeys the laws of thermodynamics. The first law of thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, while the second law states that entropy (disorder) always increases over time. The universe is not deterministic. Quantum mechanics shows that the behavior of pa...
